1. What does Story Clinic do?
We help writers safely submit their scripts, receive professional feedback (if needed), and connect with verified film producers who are actively looking for new stories.
2. Is my script safe after submission?
Yes. Every script is protected by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a digital timestamp at the time of submission. Your authorship and copyright remain 100% yours.
3. Do I need to register my script before sending it?
We recommend registering your script with the SWA (Screenwriters Association) or your regional writers’ body. If you haven’t done so yet, we can guide you through the registration process before we proceed.
4. What happens after I submit my script?
1Fill out the online form and upload your script (PDF format only).
2We review your submission for basic quality and originality.
3If shortlisted, we contact you for representation and possible feedback suggestions.
4Once approved, your script is added to our internal database and pitched to verified producers.
5. What if my script is not selected?
If your script doesn’t fit our current producer demand, we’ll keep your record confidential. You may rework and resubmit anytime, either independently or after using our Script Doctoring service.
6. Is there a submission fee?
Yes. There is a small one-time submission fee (₹96–₹699), depending on whether you submit a synopsis or a full script. This covers reading, documentation, and safety verification.
7. What is Script Doctoring?
An optional paid service where professional screenwriters help you improve structure, dialogue, and presentation before your script is pitched to producers.
8. Do I lose ownership if a producer buys my script?
No. You remain the legal author. If a producer buys or options your script, we assist both parties with contract guidance and commission terms.
9. How much commission does Story Clinic take?
If a deal closes through our agency, we charge a 12%–15% commission from your earnings. Producers pay a separate service fee — not deducted from your share.
10. Can I submit more than one script?
Yes. You can submit multiple scripts. Each submission receives a unique reference number for tracking.

1. How can producers collaborate with Story Clinic?
Email us as a verified producer or development executive. Once verified, you’ll gain access to a curated selection of scripts based on your preferred genre, budget, and creative preferences.
2. Are the scripts legally protected?
Yes. Every writer’s work is pre-registered and covered under an NDA before you access it. You’ll receive a unique viewing license for internal reading only.
3. Is there any cost for producers?
You pay only if you select or option a script for development or production.
4. Can I share or forward a script I receive?
No. Sharing or duplicating any submitted script without written consent violates the NDA and copyright laws.
5. Can I request specific genres or story types?
Yes. Email us to specify interests/genre (thriller, biopic, rom-com, etc.), with your contact details alongwith preferred time to call 🤙 and we’ll match scripts accordingly.
6. Will Story Clinic help polish the selected script?
Yes. Our Script Doctoring team can help refine the selected script for a small development fee.
7. What if I already have an in-house writer?
That’s fine. You can still collaborate with our agency for story ideas, loglines, or co-writing opportunities.
8. Is there a contract or paperwork involved?
Yes. All collaborations are governed by a short legal agreement that protects both the writer and the producer.
